Welcome to the Dean of Students Office where we prepare empowered global citizens who are ready to make a positive impact in the world. We accomplish our vision by engaging students in opportunities for campus involvement, and supporting individuals with expert personnel dedicated to student learning and success.
Whether students are interested in leadership opportunities via student government, joining a club or Greek-letter organization, exploring multiple identities through the Cultural Centers, Women’s Resource Center, or LGBTQ Affairs, or are returning to college after military service (VETS Center) or preparing to serve (ROTC), the Dean of Students Office helps them find their community here at the UA.
The role of the Dean of Students Office includes challenging and supporting students when crises or emergencies arise, and when students make poor decisions related to personal behavior and integrity. In these situations, our goal is to treat students with dignity, and provide educational interventions to assist them with the successful completion of a University of Arizona degree.
Faculty, staff, parents and families are critical partners in our work with students, assisting with student involvement and recognition, creating a college-going culture among junior high school students and families with Early Academic Outreach, and leadership and engagement opportunities through Parent and Family Programs.
