Kendal assumed the role of Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students in February 2014, after serving as Interim Dean of Students since January 2013. She joined the Dean of Students Office in Fall 2009, providing leadership in the areas of student accountability, academic integrity, disruptive/threatening behavior, LGBTQ Affairs, the Women’s Resource Center, as well as many other aspects of the office.
Provides direction for the central units of the Dean of Students Office. Oversees strategic planning, policy analysis and development, coordination of staff enrichment, campus education and outreach initiatives, and departmental collaboration and communication.
Director, Parents & Family Association/Campus Safety Coordinator
Directs all aspects of the Parent and Family Programs unit including serving as Director of the Parents and Family Association. Provides outreach for the campus on parent and family related issues. Serves as the UA's Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) Campus Safety Coordinator.
Provides leadership for inclusion and multicultural engagement efforts and leads a team of program directors and staff who oversee LGBTQ Affairs, the Women’s Resource Center, African American Student Affairs, Asian Pacific American Student Affairs, Guerrero Student Center, Native American Student Affairs, as well as collaborative and intersectional initiatives across all Centers and the campus community.
Oversees Student Assistance and Accountability, Academic Integrity, the Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA), and the Graduate Professional Student Council (GPSC). Provides educational programs for the campus on issues relating to student conduct policies, academic integrity, disruptive or threatening behavior and community standards.

Provides leadership for the Fraternity and Sorority Programs area including oversight for all fraternity and sorority chapters, governing associations, and develops and implements educational programming to address critical issues. In addition provides guidance for, and assists in, long-range strategic planning and implementation for the University’s diverse and dynamic fraternity and sorority community. Servers as the Campus Safety Officer and provides oversight for the SafeCats program and campus wide safety initiatives and as a member of the Dean of Students Office Leadership team.
