Status of Domestic Partner Benefits

The Division of Human Resources is committed to keeping the campus informed about the status of domestic partner benefits and all benefits related information.

Domestic Partner Tuition Reduction Program

The University of Arizona offers a Domestic Partner Tuition Program (DPTP) to qualified university employees who have domestic partners. Qualified employees are those faculty, administrators, and professional and classified staff whose employment is 50 percent time or greater for a period of at least six months. Legal dependents of eligible domestic partners also may participate in this program. Learn more from the Division of Human Resources.

Presentations & Panels for Classes

The Office of LGBTQ Affairs coordinates presentations and panels for classes across the University of Arizona campus. To request a presentation or panel, please complete a Request Form and return it to the Program Director for LGBTQ Affairs at jhoefle@email.arizona.edu or call (520) 626-1996. Please place requests at least one month prior to the requested date.

The mission of the University of Arizona Institute for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies is to educate the citizens of Arizona by developing curriculum, promoting research, and presenting public programming addressing the histories, politics, and cultures of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people and the diverse scholarship on sexuality. Has a listserv to announce events.

OUTReach is an advocacy and networking organization for LGBT faculty, staff & graduate students at the University of Arizona. The goal of OUTReach is to achieve a campus climate which fosters the careers of LGBT faculty and academic professionals and the education of LGBT students. Has a listserv to facilitate communication among members.

Wingspan is the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Community Center for Southern Arizona. Wingspan's mission is to promote the freedom, equality, safety and well-being of LGBT people. Community Space includes a free lending library, computer center, and meeting rooms. Wingspan offers an array of social and community services

Gay Tucson.com
GayTucson.Com offers a virtual gay community center for Tucson with bars, retail, dining, events, facts, hotels, real estate, shopping, weather and more. Offers a monthly newsletter.

G2H2 - Gay Guys Happy Hour
Gay Guys Happy Hour takes place the third Friday of every month in a new location around town each time and provides Tucson's gay professionals a different venue to meet, network or just hang out. The events begin at 5:30 p.m. and run to 8:00 p.m.
