Kendal assumed the role of Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students in February 2014, after serving as Interim Dean of Students since January 2013. She joined the Dean of Students Office in Fall 2009, providing leadership in the areas of student accountability, academic integrity, disruptive/threatening behavior, LGBTQ Affairs, the Women & Gender Resource Center, as well as many other aspects of the office.
Director, Parents & Family Association/Campus Safety Coordinator
Directs all aspects of the Parent and Family Programs unit including serving as Director of the Parents and Family Association. Provides outreach for the campus on parent and family related issues. Serves as the UA's Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) Campus Safety Coordinator.
Provides leadership for inclusion and multicultural engagement efforts and leads a team of program directors and staff who oversee LGBTQ Affairs, the Women & Gender Resource Center, African American Student Affairs, Asian Pacific American Student Affairs, Guerrero Student Center, Native American Student Affairs, as well as collaborative and intersectional initiatives across all Centers and the campus community.

Provides leadership, and oversight for the University of Arizona’s student governing bodies, the Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA) and the Graduate and Professional Students Council (GPSC). Works with student governance leaders and members of the campus community to develop and administer various programs that meet the needs of undergraduate and graduate and professional students.
