Are issued when students are absent due to a crisis situation or unexpected illness and are unable to contact instructors directly. The Dean of Students Office is unable to require faculty to excuse absences or grant make-up work. However, we encourage faculty to keep in mind that students who utilize the emergency notification service are typically recovering from a crisis and benefit from appropriate consideration.
As a member of the Wildcat community, students are expected to uphold and maintain an honest academic environment and abide by the standards set forth by the Arizona Board of Regents. All members of the University community are encouraged to know these expectations and understand your rights and responsibilities.
Our Student Assistance team helps students, including their family, friends, faculty, and staff to navigate University resources, understand policies and procedures, manage crises, life traumas, and other barriers that impede student success. We are committed to student engagement, well-being, and academic success.
Our department houses several programs in which students can get connected with the campus. Our goal is to foster a caring culture on campus and make sure all students feel supported and equipped to thrive during their Wildcat journey.
